“INDIAN SUNSET” NIGHT WITH SPJ
Toast to Bay Area Journalism
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 6-9 p.m.
New Delhi Restaurant
160 Ellis Street, S.F.
On Feb. 3, 2006, no journalist need sip a single malt alone. Join SPJ-NorCal for a no-host round or two at the New Delhi Restaurant, 6-9 p.m., Feb. 3. The New Delhi is at 160 Ellis St., just off Cyril Magnin, downtown SF. (It’s three blocks from the 5th & Mission Garage, two from the Powell Street BART/Muni Metro Station).
Join SPJ for a tasty Indian Sunset to toast diversity in journalism at San Francisco’s New Delhi Restaurant and Bar. Hoist a Kashmir Delight for the old FOI. Sample a tantalizing Sula cab or chardonnay from Northern India as you savor gourmet appetizers and networking opportunities for journalists. Raise
high the best, thickest, (non-alcoholic) Mango Lassi in the Bay Area as we celebrate excellence in journalism Bay Area style.
The evening’s agenda? Your good cheer, your spirit raised after a deadline well met, your glass tipped at a story to tell: The mailed check returned for postage 2 cents short (Yeah, right!). As Thomas Jefferson once said, "Drink up, and tell Georgie he owes me money!"
What’s the deal? New Delhi owner Ranjan Dey is donating a portion of the night's proceeds to the SPJ-NorCal chapter, so if anything, join us to sip and
maybe sup on great Indian food for the cause!
Hope to see y'all Feb. 3! Bring your quest for adventure, your sense of romance -- and your wallets.
SPJ NorCal Board members Francine Brevetti of ANG Newspapers, and Paul Kleyman, editor of “Aging Today”will be behind the bar to keep the suns flowing free and setting often.
