First National Ethnic Media Awards

On Nov. 14, 2006, ethnic news organizations from across the country will gather at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C. to honor the “best” of ethnic media reporters at New America Media’s First National Ethnic Media Awards.

As New California Media, we held statewide award programs for nearly a decade to honor the often overlooked but fastest growing sector of American journalism. The video from our last California Awards, in San Jose in January 2006 demonstrates the great synergy of the event, in sync with the growing vibrancy, multculturalism and demographic shifts in a country built on the contributions of immigrants and ethnic minorities.
