NBC11 FALL 2007 INTERNSHIPS
NBC11 offers a wide range of internships opportunities for students interested in careers in electronic media.

Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals Scholarships
$20,000 in scholarships to 10 Hispanic students majoring in journalism or communications. Applicants must reside in the Greater Houston Area and plan to attend, full-time, a community college or university within the U.S. or Puerto Rico.

Newspaper Association of AmericaÆ Foundation Student/Newspaper Partnership Grants
These grants will provide seed money to help establish or revive student newspapers.

Society of Professional Journalists High School Essay Contest
SPJ wants to increase high school student's knowledge and understanding of the importance of the Free Media to our lives. National winners of this essay contest receive scholarship awards. All students enrolled in grades 9-12 are eligible.

The November 2006 edition of the "What It Do, ISA?!" student newsletter is the first collaboration between CIIJ, International Studies Academy and El Tecolote. This is the first time our students have written for a school publication.
