Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals Scholarships
$20,000 in scholarships to 10 Hispanic students majoring in journalism or communications. Applicants must reside in the Greater Houston Area and plan to attend, full-time, a community college or university within the U.S. or Puerto Rico.

Newspaper Association of AmericaÆ Foundation Student/Newspaper Partnership Grants
These grants will provide seed money to help establish or revive student newspapers.

Society of Professional Journalists High School Essay Contest
SPJ wants to increase high school student's knowledge and understanding of the importance of the Free Media to our lives. National winners of this essay contest receive scholarship awards. All students enrolled in grades 9-12 are eligible.

826 Valencia Field Trips
826 Valencia is a fun and inspiring place to come with a group of students to work on writing. Our space is free and available to teachers in the Bay area, grades 1Ò12, for field trips of all kinds.
