ABOUT THE
POSITION:
Under
the mentoring and guidance of the Chief Communications Officer, the Support
Intern will apply academic knowledge to a practical, real-life organizational
environment.
Primary
Responsibilities:
- Assist
with writing press releases and other documents for the community - Assist
with developing and implementing an e-newsletter - Assist
with planning and execution of multiple events - Assist
with maximizing online presence through creation of a blog and other
online tools - Assist
with script writing for creation of videos and television appearances
Requirements:
- Currently
enrolled in marketing, communications, or journalism academic programs - Proficient
in MS Office Suite - Ability
to follow directions, prioritize, perform multiple tasks, and complete
duties with minimal supervision. - Ability
to work with diverse staff and clients, including people of various ethnic
backgrounds, current and former mental health consumers, and persons of
diverse sexual orientations.
Preferred
Qualities
- Bilingual
in Spanish - Minorities,
current or former mental health consumers, and other disadvantaged
populations are strongly encouraged to apply
Details:
This
internship is a 15 to 20 hour per week internship with negotiable
schedules. A monthly stipend may be
provided. Intern supervisors can
authorize academic credit.
