San Francisco PR Firm Seeking Fall Interns

Chase Communications, a public relations and marketing communications firm with dual headquarters in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., seeks responsible, motivated candidates for fall internship positions in the San Francisco office, located in the heart of the Financial District. We are a local office with national breadth, specializing in real estate, healthcare and consumer practice areas. Our clients include some of the region’s most active real estate developers and high-profile projects, as well as innovators in pharmaceutical, medical device and other healthcare areas.
Interns will be involved with research, writing/correspondence, media database management, project/event coordination and administrative tasks such as data entry and filing.
We’re looking for candidates currently enrolled in a college degree program (seniors preferred) and those genuinely interested in the public relations field.
Intern candidates should commitment to a 3-month period (Aug/Sept –Dec.) for approximately 15-20 hours a week, at least two days a week. We’ll work with your schedule. Requirements include:
• Willingness to learn the basics of PR, marketing communications and event planning.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to successfully juggle multiple projects.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with strong work ethic.
• Detail-oriented.
• Responsible, with professional appearance and manner
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat) and Internet savvy. Social media skills a plus.
This internship is unpaid. Potential for paid internship in spring. We will work with college students to arrange academic credit for their participation in the program, if available.
