Bay Area environmental news intern

Way Out West: Bay Area Green News is a start-up media organization
dedicated to covering environmental stories - climate, energy, clean
tech, policy, nature, conservation - with a Bay Area angle.

WOW was founded by two award-winning environmental reporters,
Victoria Schlesinger and Alison Hawkes. Between the two of us, we've
produced news in every medium from print and film to radio and
photojournalism. Our reporting has been published by Harper's Magazine,
Mother Jones, New York Times, Audubon, PBS Frontline, NPR, PRI, and NASA among
other outlets.

WOW interns will be expected to produce weekly stories/blog posts of
their choosing (any medium), help with news curation and social media promotion.
We're also open to in-depth, magazine-length features. In exchange they
will receive professional editing and mentoring. Many of WOW's stories
are syndicated to partner websites, such as The Bay Citizen, San
Francisco Public Press, Bay Nature, Yahoo! and Shareble.

Interns may work remotely or in WOW's office located in downtown San Francisco.
