Seeking Interns for Online News portal “NewsGram”
NewsGram (" TARGET="_blank">http://www.newsgram.com/">www.NewsGram.com) is a web-only news portal operated from Chicago. The portal focuses on news around the world.
This 24x7 portal is a typical news portal with a mix of everything (politics, society, culture, economy, entertainment, sports, etc) with a focus on politics and society. As an independent news organization, we are committed to our core values and beliefs, viz.
1. The emphasis would be on delivering the news with a difference
2. Ethical journalism with a pragmatic approach
3. Raise issues that the main stream media misses or does not consider important.
We are currently seeking self-motivated, creative, and awesome interns - from all over USA to join our small staff for a few months to one year. The prospective candidate should:
1. be able to contribute news and articles on a chosen or several themes. This includes news/articles/posts about politics, culture, and various issues. Similarly, interviews, discussions and debates are welcome. The areas of interest can be identified with each candidate after mutual discussion.
2. Have STRONG writing skills
3. Be a Self-starter, motivated to work with a lot of freedom
NB: This is a virtual position, hence the candidate can work from any place
Salary: Unpaid
Duration: 6 Months to 1 year.
