Switchboard, A Mobile Health Nonprofit, Seeks Public Relations Intern
contact CRAIG EDELMAN
Switchboard is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization that uses mobile phones to network health professionals in developing countries. With our main program MDNet, we have networked nearly 100% of physicians working in Ghana and Liberia, allowing every doctor in the country to call or text any other doctor for free - with over 3 million calls made so far. The more doctors collaborate, the better patients are served.
We would like a highly self-motivated individual with experience in communications and public relations to join our small team at our office in San Francisco. We were recently featured in the World Health Organization’s mobile health report -- one of the biggest mHealth publications of the year.
You will be helping us launch and manage the press, blog, twitter, and other media campaigns of our new identity and website (launching August 5th, 2011). This is a very exciting transition for our organization, and we would love a PR and communications guru who is interested in international development, global health, and/or mobile health to come help grow something big.
