Editorial Intern - Thrillcall

Thrillcall (
www.thrillcall.com" TARGET="_blank">http://www.thrillcall.com/">www.thrillcall.com ) is a prominent
national source for comprehensive listing of live music events, paired with
original editorial content spanning a wide variety of genres. We are currently
seeking students to participate in an internship for course credit during the
Fall 2011 semester. Prospective interns will have the opportunity to research
and write concert / album / artist reviews, conduct artist interviews, and
assist the team with publicity through our various social media channels. As a
San Francisco-based company with a strong presence nationwide, we seek students
who will act as a brand ambassador by tailoring their coverage to capture the life of San Francisco's local music scene. You will generally be expected to put in 10-15 hours a week, with
roughly 75% of that time devoted to researching and writing articles. This is
an unpaid, for-credit internship, with some associated perks like free concert
tickets and album copies for review.

This
opportunity is open to students in all relevant disciplines, especially
Journalism and Creative Writing. Please check with your school to determine
your eligibility for school credit, as we cannot offer the position without
approval from the administration. Those still interested are encouraged to
email interns@thrillcall.com. Please mention the words “Thrillcall internship”
in the title, and attach the following:

-A short
cover letter detailing your interest in the position

-A handful
of artists you’re listening to right now

-A resume and
1-2 short writing samples (max 1 page), preferably related to music in some
way.

We look
forward to connecting with you.
