To qualify you must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate/graduate student in an accredited college or university in the U.S. during the fall term of the 2006-2007 academic year. Deadline for entry is Dec. 31, 2006.

John Fischetti was a Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist whose work was published in the New York Herald-Tribune, the Chicago Daily News and the Chicago Sun-Times. Shortly after his death in 1980, friends created the endowment in his honor.
