Viacom Television Stations News Apprenticeship Program

Applications are now being accepted for the Viacom Television Stations News Apprenticeship Program for stations in Boston, Minneapolis and San Francisco.

This is a 6-month, paid apprenticeship in which those selected will learn how a television station operates behind the camera. You'll train on the assignment desk, in special projects, promotions, as a writer and a producer. The goal is to offer jobs at one of the VTSG stations for those who successfully complete the program but there is no guarantee of employment. The goal is for apprentices one day to become managers in VTSG newsrooms.

This is not a program for those who want to eventually work on the air.

If interested, go to www.cbsdiversity.com and complete the Viacom TV Stations News Apprenticeship Program application. E-mail the completed application to Bob Butler, Director of Diversity for Viacom Television Stations Group/Infinity Broadcasting - bbutler@cbs.com.
